This Collings MT2-Varnish is in perfect, new, mint condition. I bought it new in 2005. It is a 2004 year model. (number 1033). I have been playing it in a carpeted room. It has not traveled & has not yet received its first scratch. Everyone says they have the best sounding Collings & the Collings folks say that they are all too close for any one to be much better than another. That is true, they are impressively consistent. My student & I live near Collings. We tried many MT2s & decided on the best/loudest lacquer MT2 for him. Later I bought my Varnish MT2 & it was noticeably better than his Lacquer MT2. Now it has been curing a few years & has opened up nicely.

If you'd like a new Varnish Collings but don't want to wait for it to age, this is the one. Collings made me an extra bridge with wider string spacing (within specs). I am selling this instrument with the original bridge & the wide bridge.
